Join us on Friday for a family-friendly event to learn more about the art of backstrap weaving from Maria Xoch Ajcalon, a master-weaver from Asociacion Maya de Desarrollo, a women’s weaving cooperative in the highlands of Sololá, Guatemala. Each participant will also have the opportunity to make their own Guatemalan friendship bracelet, and explore the exhibition Artistry and Ancestry: Maya Textiles from Guatemala through a special scavenger hunt.
